Receved 2 of the FurBabyFeeder® Sphere Automatic Microchip Pet Feeder – LCD Menu - Enclosed & Locking Doors - Uses RFID Collar Tag - Multi-Pet.
Both worked really well and then one of the RFID chips stopped working after a week. Sent an email to support along with a phone call to see what I could do. Amazingly received a phone call within an hour and they replaced not only the bad rfid tag, but they replaced both of my cats collars with the updated rfid tag, collar, and rfid tag protectors at no charge. The cats are now happily eating out of their seperate bowls. Really happy with this product.
I originally bought this to let one of my cats free-feed while keeping my other cat from stealing her food. At first, it was a bit of a learning curve — my cat likes to grab a piece of kibble, place it just outside the bowl, and eat it there. When she moved even slightly away (even though she was still right in front of the feeder), the doors would sometimes close and it startled her. I also wished there were sensitivity/timing options to make training easier.
After reaching out to support, they recommended using the tag sleeve, and that completely changed things. With the sleeve, the tag reads more consistently and the feeder now works perfectly for us. My cat is comfortable using it, and it finally solves the problem of keeping her food secure while still letting her graze.
My fur baby feeder kept rejecting my cat and I couldn’t figure out how to delete the tags, but Tech Support was available and when I sent an email after business hours, he actually called me back himself to walk me through the process step-by-step over the phone and I was able to get my feeder working again with my cat tag. I give the feeder 4.8 stars.. five stars for customer service and the two complaints I have about the feeder itself is that my larger cat comes over while my smaller cat is sitting in front of the feeder and she stays close enough that the feeder stays open but the larger cat sneaks in and eats the food and since she doesn’t run away, unfortunately the doors don’t shut andhe gets into her meal. I do have a multi cat household so this feeder will still work for keeping the kitten out of the other food, but the big Kitty will be getting his own feeder pretty soon so he can leave the smaller cat alone. I have a total of three cats. Also, the doors are a little bit loud, but it doesn’t wake me up, so that’s what counts.. all in all 4.8 stars. I think the next feature it should have would be to have like a tunnel that the cat can stick its head in so other cats can’t steal the food.,
This food dish is working great at preventing the dog from eating our cats’ food!
We have one cat on a prescription diet and the other kept eating it. This feeder fixed that problem within a day. Setup took me maybe 10 minutes. Appreciate the fast responses when I had questions about the tag
Got my feeder and it had a bit of an issue with the sensitivity of the chip, but I sent an email to customer support who was very helpful and told me to try using the sleeve. Made a huge difference and now I am very happy with it. My puppy is eating very consistently out of the feeder, and it keeps the bigger dog from stealing his food. Very happy.

Furbabyfeeder has been nothing but pleasant for me! I ordered 3 of the orange feeders for my 3 cats as one needed to go on a diet. Not long ago, the top of her feeder stopped locking into place which caused the feeder to stop working correctly. After contacting them about this issues, they replied almost instantaneously and replies from there were immediate. I couldn’t believe how quickly they responded and after a short conversation with Mark/Marc on the phone, he offered to replace the feeder (and even upgraded it to the coffee one)! I could not be happier and my girl seems very content with her new feeder. I am so glad I decided to spend my money with Furbabyfeeder and truly give them the utmost of praise. Great feeder! I had an issue with the tag attachment at first, but customer service was super quick and helpful. They sent me a replacement tag with both a ring and silicone strap at no cost. Really impressed with the support and happy with the product!
I needed a new tag because my cat lost it. I called and received a new one with a new holder. The owner was so helpful and cared about my problem. This feeder is just what I needed for my kitten because my two older cats were eating her food.
We got the FurbabyFeeder for our cat, Kitty, and it has completely changed the dynamic in our multi-cat home. Kitty is a slow eater and a total grazer—super chill and never in a rush to finish a meal. But that became a problem when our new “baby” Simba (who’s not so little anymore!) and our other cat Marty kept swooping in and stealing his food the second he walked away. Poor Kitty was constantly hungry, even though we were feeding him! His meals were just always getting poached.
This feeder has been a total lifesaver. Setup was incredibly easy—just a few minutes, and it was ready to go. The RFID tag works perfectly: the feeder recognizes Kitty every time and opens just for him. It’s like magic! Now he can eat when he wants, as slowly as he wants, without having to compete with anyone. For the first time in ages, he's not hungry all the time. He gets to be himself again—our calm, grazing boy.
If you’ve got a multi-cat household and one of your cats is always missing out on meals, do them a favor and get this. It’s amazing. We honestly wish we had done it sooner.
I ordered three kitty feeder "helmets" for my kitties, as each is on a specific diet. The feeders work perfectly for this. Each kitty can only eat their specific food. I even had an issue with one of the microchip collars and I contacted their customer support. They walked me through the process and agreed to send a new microchip collar, as well as some sleeves for the other kitty's collars. This was a great purchase and an excellent investment in my kitties health!
We purchased this feeder because our cat has to have prescription food that we need to keep our other cat from eating. It works well and the door opens immediately as the cat approaches the feeder and closes as soon as he walks away. The other cat cannot access. Very easy to set up. Customer service was amazing when the RFID tag stopped working, providing troubleshooting tips. We still couldn’t get the tag to work so they are sending us a replacement tag. Great customer service and I would highly recommend the feeder.
I have 14 cats and I ordered 3 of these for my cats with special diets a couple of months ago. These 3 cats stay in a room separate from the other cats so they won't eat food they are not supposed to. These feeders work great and only took a couple of times of putting my kitties in front of the feeder for them to figure it out. Recently 2 more of my cats have been place on special diets as well so I ordered 11 more so that each of my cats have their own food bowls and I won't have to keep the cats separated. This would not have been possible without these feeders. I recommend them to anyone who has cats that have a special diet or to keep greedy cats from eating too much. ( I have 2 of those lol)
We purchased three feeders.. our experience has been very positive with the product . We had a small issue with one tag not staying connected. I called furbaby and they were more than happy to find a solution for my issue. I will definitely recommend the furbaby automatic feeder to my friends and family . Customer Service was excellent
My fur baby recently lost her eyelsight. Bought the feeder cause there was a bit of food stealing. I believe her being able to hear the feeder open let her know that’s where her food is. It recently stopped working. I called customer service and 123 it was fixed. I recommend this feeder highly.!!!
Excellent customer service. Many times, Mark has helped us after hours, weekends with programming the feeder & is now sending us a replacement feeder! Feeder works great with our pets as we have a diabetic cat.
I originally purchased the flat version but it stopped opening for my cat so I got 2 of these. I bought these because my youngest cat eats to much and my other two cats graze through out the day. My youngest eats so much that she throws up. I was a little hesitent on the bowl shape having them put their heads inside but turns out it worked just fine. To introduce them to it i left it open for all to use to get used to eating from it. After a few days I turned it on to be enabled vis rfid. Both my cats use it and my youngest cat is now loosing weight!
Definatly a unique product and a must have for single cats with dogs or a household with multiple cats. Great product and priced fairly!

Works well. I had to get the cat use to it, by leaving it open as they suggest. I left it open and add food for a couple days until he got comfortable with sticking his head inside. After the training period he had no issue using it. I also disabled the beeping sound via the menu as the cat didn't like that. I like the build quality, the battery backup as well as being able to plug it in.
The collar that comes with it is well made but I was concerned it didnt have a break away feature, so I put the id tag on another collar. The collar is probably fine for an indoor cat but I might be concerned for an outdoor cat getting it caught on something.
Feature I wish it had, was configurable delay for how long it stays open when the cat activates and then turns away.
It takes a little training obviously to get the puppy to stay in front of it, but after a couple days they gutter l get the idea since they get the reward when it opens.
I have two of the fur baby feeders, an older model and the one that’s out currently. I love them both and so do my cats. I love the way that I can see how much each cat is eating as I have one that would like to overheat.
The customer service is outstanding. I had an RFID disc that quit working shortly after I got it and they replaced it very quickly for me. If you send them a message, they answer very promptly. I’ve never had better customer service anywhere else.

So far this RIFD feeder is far exceeding my expectations! I have cat that is an absolute piggy! I recently adopted a friend for him and still need to transition her off her old food to his food brand. He's of course discovered that there was another food dish in the house (he has a timed feeder). I had a camera set up in the bedroom I confined her in to keep an eye on her during the introduction phase, and kept it there to see how often my piggy would go in there. And of course, became more and more often. So the hunt began for feeding options. I ordered this unit from some other reviews I've seen and purchased it with a 20% coupon available, so it brought the price down a bit. These feeders are expensive, but so far it's proving worth the expense. It operates very easily and easily reads the chip on her collar. I also tested what this feeder would do if for some reason it tried closing while she still had her head in the unit and I'm so pleased that it won't close on her. The doors open again immediately. It's a decent size, about the size of a women's basketball and easy to hook up and power on. I'm still trying to get my girl to understand she has to get closer to the feeder for the doors to open, but we'll get there. Training tip for skittish cats - use something particularly smelly that they love like a canned food or I used the fancy feast trays. I gave her a taste and put it in the feeder and training became easy with an eager cat wanting the smelly treat. Only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the buttons on the unit itself. They could be easier to push in and sense you are doing something.
Works great! Word of advice, if your cat/dog is scared of sudden noises, like mine is, give them a week to adjust to it and frequently bring them up to the feeder to trigger the door noise to get them used to it. We had to do that and our cat is no longer scared of the sphere that holds her food. Door got stuck open one time when I overfilled it with kibble, that's on me. All in all, good product.
